Seniors Week 2013

Seniors Week 2013Senior’s Week was successfully celebrated by bringing together the Earlwood Senior Day Care Group and the Ashfield Mature Aged Support Group for a Senior’s Luncheon at the Rotary Community Centre in Campsie.  The program commenced at 11.00am with entertainment by “Kris’s Feathered Friends” which is a show encompassing many colourful birds from blue coloured Chinese chickens to pink doves.  Seniors were given the opportunity to take photos with various birds and were active participants in the show.  Ms Filis Perdikari (psychologist) gave an informative and educational talk in Greek on “Mental Health and Wellbeing”.  Following a scrumptious lunch, the program finished at 2.30pm.  The GOC Welfare Service would like to thank the NSW Government for financial support in making the event possible.

To join any of our Mature Aged Support Groups or Day Care Group, please contact the GOC Welfare Service on 02 9740 8310 / 02 9740 6022.  All are welcome.
