Senior’s Week was successfully celebrated by bringing together the Earlwood Senior Day Care Group and the Ashfield Mature Aged Support Group for a Senior’s Luncheon at the Rotary Community Centre in Campsie. The program commenced at 11.00am with entertainment by “Kris’s Feathered Friends” which is a show encompassing many colourful birds from blue coloured Chinese chickens to pink doves. Seniors were given the opportunity to take photos with various birds and were active participants in the show. Ms Filis Perdikari (psychologist) gave an informative and educational talk in Greek on “Mental Health and Wellbeing”. Following a scrumptious lunch, the program finished at 2.30pm. The GOC Welfare Service would like to thank the NSW Government for financial support in making the event possible.
